Monjasa: Recipient of 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Award

Monjasa, a global shipping partner and marine fuels supplier that chose Limassol as the base port for its expanding Mediterranean maritime activities, has received an award at the 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards, in recognition of its investment in the island.

The award, which was presented by Deputy Ministry of Shipping Marina Hadjimanolis and Costas Charitou, Group CEO, Lanitis Holdings, was accepted by the General Manager, Mediterranean of Monjasa, Doros Mitsingas.

Monjasa is a global shipping partner and one of the 10 largest marine fuels suppliers in the world, servicing shipowners, charterers and operators in more than 800 ports worldwide. Its fleet of 30 tankers has helped it reach leading market positions in shipping hubs and hard-to-reach markets from Singapore to West Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

The company employs over 600 traders, seafarers and other maritime specialists and, in 2023, it recorded total revenues of US$ 4.4 billion.

In 2017, Monjasa chose Limassol as the base port for its expanding Mediterranean maritime activities, wishing to further explore the region and see the island’s shipping and energy markets grow.

The 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards presented by PwC Cyprus, pay tribute to major international investors active on the island.

The Awards are hosted by GOLD magazine and organised by Invest Cyprus, the official body the government has entrusted with the task of attracting foreign investment to Cyprus.
