Oracle Cyprus takes home Invest Cyprus International Investment Award

Tech provider Oracle Cyprus, whose local office has developed into a key Oracle services hub, has been recognised for its contribution to the island at the 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards presented by PwC Cyprus.
The award, received by Roman Biller, Vice President, Technology for EMEA East region at Oracle, was presented by Deputy Minister to the President Irene Piki, and the Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, George Theocharides.
Founded in 1977 by Larry Ellison, Bob Miner and Ed Oates and headquartered in Austin, Texas, USA, Oracle’s journey in Cyprus began in 1988, initially focused on providing robust database solutions, which quickly became the standard for managing critical mission information in Cyprus.
Today, Oracle Cyprus serves over 500 customers from all industry sectors and its local office has developed into a key Oracle services hub, with team members growing into international consultants serving the EMEA region. Cyprus was chosen by Oracle for its strategic location, favourable business environment, skilled workforce and robust legal framework, which make it attractive for multinational corporations.
The 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards presented by PwC Cyprus, pay tribute to major international investors active on the island.
Taking place at the Hilton Nicosia, the Awards are hosted by GOLD magazine and organised by Invest Cyprus, the official body the government has entrusted with the task of attracting foreign investment to Cyprus.
