PwC applies 4-day work week for July and August

PwC Cyprus announced that it will be implementing a four-day work week in July and August, after the measure proved a huge success for two years in a row.

“For the 3rd consecutive year, we are embracing a 4-day work week for July and August,” the company announced. “At PwC Cyprus, we believe in flexibility and a better work-life balance that truly makes a difference for our amazing people.”

It added, “Here’s to more time for what matters most”.

PwC Cyprus’ ground-breaking move has proved a huge success over the two previous summers, with the firm saying it has had a positive impact on both its staff as well as its own productivity.

Indeed, a study conducted by PwC Cyprus showed that both employees and executives managed to carry out the same volume of work as they did during the 5-day week, while productivity even increased, as did the staff’s morale and wellness.

“This innovation of a four-day work week in recent years has significantly boosted PwC Cyprus’ flexible and hybrid work model, but also its overall human-centric strategy,” Anna Loizou, Partner, Head of the firm’s Human Resources Department, told InBusinessNews.

“In the modern work environment, where both our professional as well as personal needs are constantly changing and evolving, we are continuously looking for ways to innovate, always with our own people as our top priority,” she added.
