EU Commissioner Kyriakides will return to Cyprus after completing her term

European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides has announced that she will return to Cyprus after completing her term and that she has already informed European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, and also spoken with President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides about this.

"My term as European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety is coming to an end in the coming months. I have already informed the President of the Commission Mrs. Von der Leyen that at the end of the current EU term, I will return to my country," the Commissioner has said in a statement issued by her Office.

At the same time, the Commissioner noted that she has contacted the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and thanked him for the excellent cooperation throughout her term.

"Through the honourary office of the Commissioner for Health and Food Safety of the EU, my goal was to give my best, making every possible effort, throughout this course, to serve in the best possible way both my fellow European citizens and my homeland," Kyriakides added.
