Construction Materials price index down by 1.45% in Jan-July 2024

The Price Index of Construction Materials recorded a decrease of 1.45% during the period of January-July 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, according to data published by CySTAT.

The Index for July 2024 reached 117,65 units (base year 2021=100), recording an increase of 0.15% compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index recorded a decrease of 0.36%. By main commodity category, decreases were recorded in metallic products (-3.94%) whereas increases were observed in electromechanical products (3.35%), minerals (0.98%), mineral products (0.75%) and products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.54%).
