Cyprus MFA advising Cypriot citizens amid ongoing wildfires in Attica

Cyprus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with Greek authorities through its embassy in Athens and is closely monitoring the developments regarding the severe wildfires raging in northeastern Attica, said the Ministry's Spokesperson Theodoros Gotsis.

Responding to a question from the Cyprus News Agency (CNA,) Gotsis noted that due to the seriousness of the situation, Cypriot citizens currently in the vicinity of northeastern Attica are advised to carefully follow announcements and instructions from Greece's Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and other relevant authorities. He urged them to stay informed through mass media and to adhere to any evacuation orders issued via the emergency number 112.
