New yellow warning for temperatures reaching 40°C

A new yellow warning for extreme maximum temperature is coming into effect on Monday, 19 August.

According to the warning, issued by the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, from 1pm to 4pm, maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 40 degrees Celsius over inland areas and around 33 degrees Celsius over the higher mountainous areas.
