AUB Mediterraneo to inaugurate new Pafos campus on 4 September

The American University of Beirut - Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) has announced the inauguration of its new campus in Pafos.

The event will be celebrated during the opening ceremony for the new academic year, which will take place on Wednesday, 4 September, at 7:00 pm at the new campus at Apostolou Pavlou Avenue 50, Pafos 8046, Cyprus.

A number of distinguished guests will be in attendance including President Nikos Christodoulides; the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Beirut (AUB), Abdo George Kadifa, the President of AUB, Dr Fadlo R. Khuri, AUB trustees, US Ambassador to Cyprus Julie Fisher, Mayor of Pafos Phedonas Phedonos, AUB Mediterraneo Rector Dr Wassim El Hajj; and university leadership, faculty, students, and other dignitaries.

In addition to celebrating the inauguration of AUB’s new campus and permanent home in Cyprus, the ceremony will also include a tribute to senior AUB Cypriot alumni, recognising their contributions to the university and their communities.

The opening of the AUB Mediterraneo campus in Pafos marks a new chapter in the storied history of the American University of Beirut as it expands its impact in the region and beyond, the university said. The campus in Pafos will become a hub for academic and cultural exchange, promoting the values of knowledge, innovation, and community service that AUB has long championed.
