Industrial Turnover Index down 3.3% in May 2024

In May 2024, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 133.8 units (base 2021=100), recording a decrease of 3.3% compared to May 2023, according to data published by CySTAT.

In manufacturing, the Industrial Turnover Index for May 2024 reached 132.9 units, recording a decrease of 2.4% compared to May 2023. Decreases were also recorded in the sectors of electricity supply (-9.9%) and mining and quarrying (-2.9%). An increase was noted in the sector of water supply and materials recovery (+9.6%).

For the period January – May 2024, the index recorded an increase of 1.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
