The AUB Nature Conservation Center has launched "Ecoscapes: A Visual Journey through Nature," its first annual photography competition.

The competition is open to all American University of Beirut (AUB) and AUB Mediterraneo students, faculty, and staff.

“This is a great chance for us to show the beauty of nature and the impact of climate change in Cyprus!” the university said announcing the news.

Photos will be submitted in one of three categories:
1. Biodiversity in action: Highlight the delicate balance of our ecosystems.
2. Rural harmony: Unveil the relationship between rural life and nature.
3. The climate is changing: Capture the effects of climate change on land, society, and nature.
The submission deadline is 30 September 2024.

AUB-NCC's Annual Photography competition will only be open to current members of the AUB community, including faculty, staff, and students on both campuses (Beirut and Paphos). AUB Alumni and AUB-NCC members including staff, researchers, and executive committee members will not be eligible to participate.
