Magda Bianco visits CBC to discuss financial education effort

Magda Bianco, Chair of the OECD International Network of Financial Education (OECD/INFE), visited the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) in Nicosia this week, where she engaged in insightful bilateral discussions with the CBC’s Financial Literacy Team, other stakeholders, and Governor, Chris Patsalides.

“The meetings focused on the progress of financial literacy, financial conduct, payments and developments in digital euro in Cyprus and there was exchange of ideas about the ongoing work by the CBC to empower households in managing their financial behaviours,” the CBC said. “Together, we explored the latest global trends in financial education, aligning efforts to ensure Cyprus stays at the forefront in this field.”

The CBC added that it looks forward to continuing its collaboration with international experts and stakeholders to further advance financial literacy across the country.
