Environmental Department approved Ecological houses in nature by Natura Escape Cy in Paphos (pics)

A new residential development with an ecological concept and which will be created in Paphos, has been approved by the Department of Environment.
The 12 self-catering apartments, named Natura Escape Cy belong to a company with the same name and will be built at the Kokkinokampos location within the community of Pano Akourdaleia.
According to the environmental study, the residences will each consist of one level with a mezzanine. The ground floor will include, among other things, a living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom, while the mezzanine will function as a storage space.
The exterior space of the ground floor will include an uncovered terrace with infrastructure for placing a jacuzzi and green space. The development will be connected by paths with an appropriate configuration so as not to alter the aesthetics of the area.
The residences are expected to be equipped with air conditioning, heating, lighting and water supply and irrigation systems as well as electrical and electronic equipment.
Also, according to the information report filed by the company, a central biological tertiary treatment plant will be installed to treat the urban wastewater of the proposed development. The biological station is located southeast of the proposed plot.
The proposed biological station will be underground and will have a daily capacity of 10 cubic meters.
The proposed development will include a public green space, parking areas and fencing. The total area of the plot is 7,024 sq.m., approximately, the estimated area of land to be sealed is 1,000 sq.m., while the dimensions of the biological station are 5.5 x 2.5 m.
It has been clarified that the trees located within the plot are not expected to be affected by the implementation of the proposed project.
Construction work for the construction of the proposed project is expected to last approximately 18 months.
Access to the proposed project will be via a minor registered road, which connects to the main road leading to the community core.
Cozy ecological cabins, wellness areas in a green environment
As stated on the project's website, these will be 12 comfortable cozy ecological cabins/houses, made of 100% natural materials, with an emphasis on ecological consumption.
Facilities include wellness and nature research areas.
The Project Founder of Natura Escape is Julia Karpushyna and the architects are CP Architects.
The project will consist of a total of 7,000 sq.m. of privately owned residential land and 14,000 sq.m. of agricultural land on a long-term lease.
Facilities include outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, outdoor yoga, a botanical garden with a waterfall, a children's craft area, as well as opportunities for birdwatching and stargazing.
The project is suitable for active travelers-explorers, as well as local residents of big cities looking for an environment ideal for recharging.
Investment in ecotourism
Ecotourism proves to be an emerging sector, in which Natura Escape Cy Ltd invests, characterising it as the most dynamic sector of the tourism industry.
Based on the data collected by the company, the expected growth of the global ecotourism market until 2030 will be three times that of 2022, with 55% of travelers preferring ecotourism, according to Booking.com (data from 2019).
Also, the share of the ecotourism market in Europe rose in 2021 to 38%, while the main reason for choosing a holiday destination for 15% of Germans is nature, the company notes.
