Ecliptic Defence and Space has begun work on Cyprus’ first Space Cleanroom

Ecliptic Defence and Space has begun work on the first Space Cleanroom facility ever built in Cyprus, a highly controlled environmental facility for all of its space, and space-based defence developments.

Maria Konstantinou, Business Development Director at Ecliptic Defence and Space, said on her LinkedIn: “As we continue our never-ending journey to acquire and establish state-of-the-art infrastructure, today we mark another very special day for Ecliptic Defence and Space, as we begin work in establishing the first SPACE CLEANROOM facility ever built in Cyprus.”

As she explained, this highly controlled environmental facility will ensure air cleanliness, control pressure, temperature and humidity, limit the presence of particles and contaminants, but more importantly, “maintain all the strict protocols and procedures required to be followed for all of our space, and space-based defence developments”.

She added, “It is a significant step for a small company like ours and a critical move towards securing production contracts with Large Scale Space & Defence System Integrators”.

Ecliptic Defence and Space is a leading partner in Cyprus for the development of defence and space components, subsystems and systems utilising RF and Microwave technologies.
