Saudi Arabia’s Transport Minister taken on tour of Eurogate’s container terminal

Saudi Arabia’s Transport Minister, Saleh Bin Nasser Αl-Jasser, was taken on a tour of Eurogate’s container terminal at Limassol port on 2 September, as part of his official visit to Cyprus.

He was accompanied by Transport, Communications and Works Minister Alexis Vafeades, and the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanolis.

On behalf of Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol, COO Alexandros Demetriades presented the operations and modernised and upgraded infrastructure at the container terminal, while he referred among other to the significant investments the company has made to ensure a quality, safe and swift service for its users. Nasser Αl-Jasser was then taken on a tour of the facilities.

During the visit, the two sides exchanged views and suggestions on the trade sector, as well as the crucial role the container terminal has in the Cyprus economy. They also emphasised the significant potential in further developing the terminal as the safest and most modern container terminal in the broader region between the Middle East, Egypt and Europe.
