Invest Cyprus hosts roundtable in India to promote island’s tech and investment potential

Invest Cyprus recently hosted a well-attended roundtable at the Taj Palace in India, drawing a full room of distinguished participants from India’s business and investor community.
The event was organised to present Cyprus as an emerging technology and investment gateway into the European Union.
High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to India Evagoras Vryonides extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, emphasising how sustained collaboration and the development of strong foundations for partnership between the two nations was crucial. The event was also addressed by Viraj Kulkarni, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cyprus in Mumbai, further underscoring the significance of the gathering, as Invest Cyprus said on its social media.
Marios Tannousis, CEO of Invest Cyprus, delivered a comprehensive presentation on how Cyprus serves as a strategic entry point to the EU for Indian businesses and investors. He highlighted Cyprus’ unique advantages as an ideal location for living, working, and conducting business.
Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation & Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou and Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation, and Technology, discussed Cyprus’ rise as a dynamic hub for technology and research.
The event concluded with remarks from Chrysilios Pelekanos, President of the Cyprus India Business Association and Tax Partner at PwC Cyprus, who underscored the benefits of establishing a business in Cyprus, particularly its favourable tax regime.
