Cyprus fuel prices among lowest in Europe

The European Commission’s Weekly Oil Bulletin has revealed that the prices of petrol and diesel in Cyprus are among the lowest in Europe.

More specifically, according to the Bulletin, at €1,391 per litre of Euro Super 95, Cyprus falls below the EU27 average of €1,678 while also taking third lowest place in terms of price, coming behind only Bulgaria (€1,284) and Malta (€1,340).

Denmark, with €2,023 per litre of Euro Super 95 was the most expensive.

When it comes to Automotive gas oil, Cyprus is the sixth cheapest at €1,469, coming behind Malta at €1, 210 which was the cheapest, Bulgaria at €1,293, Czechia at €1,400, Spain at €1,454 and Poland at €1,466.

Denmark, at €1,848 per litre was the most expensive and the EU27 average is €1,595 per litre.

The Bulletin is made public every Thursday and the figures mentioned above refer to the figures released on 9 January.
