Cyprus Marine Club welcomes New Year with Limassol gala (pics)

Some 200 guests recently gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel, Limassol to celebrate the New Year’s with the Cyprus Marine Club.

The President of CMC, Capt. Eberhard Koch and the General, Julia Paczkowska, in their entertaining, laced with humor and anecdotes joint opening speech, welcomed Guests at the 17 January event with New Year’s wishes.

The Shipping Deputy Minister, Marina Hadjimanolis represented the Cyprus Government and the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides at the CMC Gala Dinner.

In Her Excellency’s welcome address to guests, the Minister acknowledged the Cyprus Marine Club as the pioneer for more than 25 years, promoting the virtues of collectivity, shared ambition, and the pursuit of excellence in the field of shipping.

The President of CMC, Capt. Eberhard Koch thanked Hadjimanolis as well as Permanent Secretary – Dr. Stelios Himonas for being devoted supporters of the Club and always finding time to attend the Club’s events.

“We are especially delighted to have our Shipping Minister and The Permanent Secretary with us this evening despite their very busy schedules...Tonight we gather in this beautiful, immersive environment designed to surround you with the beautiful, positive energy that, I hope, we have managed to create in 2024,” Capt. E. Koch added.

The Club’s Members, as well as people who have played an important role in the successful restructuring of the CMC to C.M.C.L Cyprus Marine Club Limited, were graciously thanked for their commitment and loyalty. Especially warm words of gratitude were directed to the event sponsors and annual sponsors of the club.

Your faith and your trust have empowered us to reach new heights and we hope you will keep believing in us and supporting us also next year,” Julia Paczkowska commented.

“It is thanks to you that we aspire not only to thrive and grow as the Club but also to strengthen the one, all-inclusive voice of Cyprus Shipping and thank you for joining us in this mission,” concluded Paczkowska, addressing all gathered guests.

The CMC Gala was meticulously planned, and well organised, and the ballroom of the hotel was beautifully decorated guests could enjoy not only a splendid menu but also the live music by Lia the Violin and then a very energetic music band Time Surfers who very quickly gathered most of the guests on the dancing floor, creating an engaging, enjoyable and truly unforgettable experience.
