Wizz Air discontinues premium rate line, updates customer support options

Wizz Air has announced an important update about its customer support options as the airline continues to enhance its customer service offering.

As noted in a press release, the airline has said it had discontinued its premium rate call centre number, "ensuring no customers are charged the premium rate fees."

"Cypriot Customers can visit the new Wizz Air Help Centre for more information on the best number to contact, with charges based on local rates," it continued.

"For access to the quickest and easiest help and support, Wizz Air is advising passengers to use its online self-service platform which is available through the Wizz Air website or mobile app. From here, customers can manage their bookings, obtain information about their flights, make changes, request refunds, or handle issues relating to delays or cancellations," the press release went on to note.

Customers can request 24/7 information about booking, flight status, baggage, and WIZZ services through the airline's online chatbot, Amelia. For more complex inquiries, live chat agents are also 24/7 available to assist.

"Customer service remains an important area of investment for Wizz Air and the airline is continuously developing innovations to improve the experience it offers to passengers. Last year, Wizz Air launched the Amelia Voice Service which gives customers automated updates about their booking, providing essential information and guidance in the event of any disruption to their flight," the press release said.

Commenting on the new advice, Boglarka Spak, Head of Customer Experience, Wizz Air noted, “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible travel experience. Customer service has been in the focus for the airline. Today’s announcement is just one example of the enhancements we are making in this area. We are continuing to invest in innovations to ensure we can deliver for our customers around the world.”

It is also worth noting that, according to CAPA - Centre for Aviation Awards for Excellence 2024, Wizz Air is EMEA's most environmentally sustainable airline today.
