Green Energy Group announces organisational changes to its management

The new year brings strategic changes to the management structure of Green Energy Group.

More specifically, according to an announcement from the company, as from 1 January, 2025, the Group’s development path is further strengthened with the aim of consolidating its leading position in the Renewable Energy sector in Cyprus.

In the context of the new strategy, George Georgiou, who envisioned and implemented the idea of ​​establishing a pioneering vertically integrated Group, from his new position of Executive Chairman states, “The development of the Green Energy Group is founded on its vision to become a leader, offering sustainable and integrated energy solutions. This year, is our 10 year anniversary of dynamic presence in the RES sector and possessing 20 years of experience in the energy sector, we continue to offer innovative integrated solutions, to contribute to the energy planning of Cyprus and the rational exploitation of green energy resources.”

The reins of the Management as CEO are taken over by Charalambos Kyriakou, who until now held the role of COO. Referring to his new “mission” and having 17 years of experience in the sector, Mr. Kyriakou noted, “It is a great honor for me to lead the Group in such a critical period for the country’s energy transformation. I warmly thank the Board of Directors for the trust they have shown in me and I assure you that the Group will continue to act decisively as a leader in the RES sector, focusing on innovation and sustainability in the green transition.”

Kyriakos Hatziathanasiou takes on the position of COO, assuming a key role in the Group’s operational structure. With studies at the School of Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University and many years of experience as Commercial Director in leading groups, he will contribute to the Group’s business development, strengthening its ability to respond to market challenges.
