President will be in Cairo on 17 February for the signing of agreements on gas resources

President, Nikos Christodoulides will be in Cairo on 17 February, for the signing of agreements for the development of natural gas resources in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

The President of the Republic of Cyprus announced the forthcoming signing with a post on X, soon after his meeting, on Friday, in Nicosia with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi.

President Christodoulides noted that "following an invitation by the Egyptian President Sisi, I will be in Cairo on February 17 for the signing ceremony of two important agreements for the development of the Cronos and Aphrodite gas resources in Cyprus’ EEZ.  Another step in fostering growth in our region,” he added.
