Cyprus Film Commission invites international filmmakers to discuss opportunities at upcoming Berlinale

Cyprus Film Commission Chairman Lefteris Eleftheriou has invited filmmakers and other industry stakeholders from around the world to meet with Commission representatives at the upcoming ‘Berlinale’ Berlin International Film Festival.
In a LinkedIn post, Eleftheriou says, “Connect with the Cyprus Film Commission at Berlinale! Interested in discussing opportunities? Email me to schedule a meeting between the 16th and 18th of February at leleftheriou@investcyprus.org.cy”
The Berlinale is one of the largest public film festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the globe each year.
“For the film industry and the media, the eleven days in February are also one of the most important events in the annual calendar and an indispensable trading forum,” the event’s website points out.
Cyprus’ attraction as a filmmaking destination has been highlighted in recent years, with a film made on the island, 'Find Me Falling', starring Harry Connick Jr and directed by Stelana Kliris, in 2024 topping the Netflix Weekly Top 10 most-watched list, among other successes.
A new Stelana Kliris production in also the works while, as Eleftheriou recently revealed to CBN, the Cyprus Film Commission has takes huge step in US.
The Commission Chairman late last year also met with UK film industry stakeholders to promote Cyprus while a Cyprus-German film, 'All That’s Left of You' directed by the American-Palestinian, Cherien Dabis is participating in the International Sundance Festival which is currently underway.
