Vassos Eliades and Pivo Microbrewery join forces to distribute quality craft beers

Vassos Eliades Ltd and the Cypriot microbrewery Pivo have entered into a collaboration for the distribution of quality craft beers in the Cypriot market.

The independent microbrewery Pivo was founded in 2015. It initially operated for five years as a brewpub (brewery in a restaurant environment), in the heart of old Nicosia.

In 2020, the dining area closed and the brewery moved to new and purpose-built facilities in Alambra.

In 2023, Pivo proceeded with a complete upgrade of the brewery, installing state-of-the-art production equipment.

At Pivo, all beers produced are unfiltered and unpasteurised, thus preserving their rich flavor and freshness.

The best-known beers are Blondie (Bohemian Pilsner style) and Σitarenia (Bavarian style Weissbier). Other beers are Neφeli (Session New England IPA), Noir (Check Style Dark Lager) and Antistressful (American IPA).

The collaboration between Vassos Eliades Ltd and Pivo strategically aligns both companies for long-term success in the Cyprus market.

The quality craft beers by Pivo Microbrewery are available in selected dining venues and cellars and are always distributed based on the "Pivo Cold Chain" distribution and storage system, under which all the brewery's beers are always kept and transported at temperatures below five degrees Celsius, from the day of their production until the day of their consumption, at any point of sale.

With this system, the quality and freshness of the brewery's unfiltered and unpasteurised beers are maintained.

The Vassos Eliades Ltd group of companies is one of the largest commercial organisations in Cyprus, employing over 350 people.

The group's main activity is the import, sale and distribution of consumer products such as food and beverages, as well as other items that fall into the luxury goods category, such as jewelry and watches.
