What can you tell us about the staff at Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol?

The hotel's workforce consists of approximately 680 employees from at least 33 countries and thus represents a vibrant and diverse community. The gender distribution is quite balanced (47% men, 53% women) to foster an inclusive environment. Some 30% of our staff are from Cyprus and the remaining 70% from various international backgrounds. As a result, the multilingual capabilities of the team are impressive, with English as the official language complemented by widespread proficiency in Greek, Russian, Ukrainian and other mother tongues. This linguistic diversity not only enhances communication within the team but also significantly improves the guest experience, as we are able to cater to a broader range of clientele from all over the world.

You mentioned inclusion. Are diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) priorities for Parklane?

Yes. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) are priorities for us. We recognise that a diverse and inclusive environment not only enhances the workplace culture but also drives innovation, better decision-making and improved guest satisfaction. By prioritising DEI, we aim to create a more vibrant and dynamic community that reflects the rich diversity of the world around us. This commitment is reflected in our strategic goals, resource allocation, and the ongoing efforts of our leadership team to champion and support DEI initiatives. The hotel’s policy on DEI is centred around creating a welcoming, equitable, and respectful environment for both guests and employees.
