Deputy Minister of Shipping in Brussels on official visit

Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanolis has headed to Brussels, where she will participate in a high-level round-table discussion titled "Fisheries and Oceans Dialogues: Help Design the European Ocean Pact".

She was invited by the European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis, in light of Cyprus assuming the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2026.

Hadjimanolis will be having a series of meetings with senior EU officials, mainly focusing on Cyprus’ priorities and initiatives in the shipping sector. Additionally, current developments and challenges facing European and global shipping will be addressed.

More specifically, the Deputy Minister will have bilateral meetings with the Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Kadis, as well as Elissavet Vozemberg-Vrionidi, Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism.

Hadjimanolis will also meet with the Director-General of the Secretariat of the Council of the EU’s Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council (TTE).
