Football fans in Cyprus get to see iconic UEFA trophies up close (pics)

Football fans in Cyprus had the rare chance to see up close the iconic UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League trophies at a special event organised by Stoiximan—Official Sponsor of both prestigious competitions—under the auspices of UEFA at the Mall of Cyprus.

The event attracted hundreds of attendees who had the opportunity to admire the two legendary trophies up close.

During the trophy unveiling, Konstantinos Diorelis, Commercial Director of Stoiximan, stated: "As Stoiximan, we are committed to continuing to offer such experiences to the football community in Cyprus. We wholeheartedly wish the best of luck to the three Cypriot teams competing in the Conference League tonight."

Angelos Chontoulidis, Country Manager of Stoiximan, added: "We were particularly fortunate with the timing, as Cyprus was represented in the Conference League play-offs by three teams.

"Stoiximan is now a sponsor of both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League, and when the opportunity arose, we made every effort to bring these trophies to Nicosia. Our goal was twofold: to bring football fans closer to the sport they love and to give back to Cyprus, a country that embraced us from the very beginning."

A prestigious presence and social contribution

The event was also attended by the President of the National Betting Authority, Panayiotis Trisokkas, who said: "Hosting these two European trophies is a great honour for our country. We would like to thank Stoiximan, which, after Greece, brought the trophies to Cyprus as well, giving all of us who love sports the opportunity to see them up close."

Beyond football, Stoiximan also presented donation cheques to the institutions Apostolos Pavlos Special Center and KEPA Agios Christoforos during the event, supporting their invaluable work.

The cheques were received by Maria Kazaka, Director of Apostolos Pavlos Special Center, and Georgios Kyprianou, Board Member of KEPA Agios Christoforos.

The event concluded with an entertainment program, giving visitors the opportunity to fully enjoy this unique experience and capture the moment with photos alongside the trophies.
