President tells Al-Ahram: Aim is to broaden Cyprus-Egypt partnership

President Nikos Christodoulides stressed the significance of the two new agreements with Egypt for the development of the Kronos and Aphrodite gas resources in Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), in an interview published in the Sunday edition of Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.

He went on to express his ambition to broaden the horizons of the partnership between the two countries in the coming years.

Christodoulides said that these two agreements are an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector and open new horizons for strategic partnerships that contribute to strengthening development in the Mediterranean region.

At the same time, he referred to Cyprus' vision for the future of its cooperation with Egypt in various sectors and his ambition to broaden the horizons of the partnership between the two countries in the coming years.
