During an event held at 360 Nicosia, Samsung Electronics officially launched the new Galaxy S25 series in Cyprus, ushering in a new era of innovation centered on artificial intelligence.
The 21 February event attracted the country’s media representatives, influencers and the company’s partners.
Hansoo Kim, President of Samsung Electronics in Greece and Cyprus, welcomed the audience, stating, “We are excited to host the first Samsung event in Cyprus, which is an important market for us. The Galaxy S25 series marks the beginning of a new era, an AI era, through which users can do things that until now seemed impossible.”
Stavros Takis, President and CEO of Sfakianakis Group – Alpan Telecom, prefacing the event, said, “Today, we are not just celebrating the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 with AI capabilities. We are celebrating a history of innovation, pioneering and dedication to consumers” and continued by saying “What makes us even more proud is that in recent years we have delivered over 1,000,000 Samsung devices to Cypriot consumers. One million devices that connect people and businesses, giving them millions of unique moments and experiences, enhancing productivity and opening new avenues in communication. Samsung does not follow trends, it creates them! And we, through Alpan Group and Sfakianakis Group, ensure that this innovation always reaches the hands of consumers in the most direct and effective way, giving the ultimate experience to our customers”.
During the event, Tina Georgiou, Product Manager Smartphones at Samsung Electronics , presented the new features of the devices, making special reference to the technological superiority of the Galaxy S25 series. In addition to the elegant design , the Corning® Gorilla® Armor 2 , which makes the device even more durable, Georgiou gave special emphasis to the Snapdragon 8 Elite , which offers high performance and better power management. She also mentioned the new features offered by the new ultrawide camera 50MP combined with the main 200MP and the 50MP telephoto lens as well as the Audio Eraser, which eliminates unwanted noise from videos, and the Portrait Studio, which brings new capabilities to the creation of AI-generated avatars.
In addition to the above, Georgiou recalled the advantages of the new One UI 7, which, in combination with the Now Brief and the Now Bar, introduce a valuable AI assistant to the general public. Finally, special emphasis was also given to the security sector, where the Samsung Knox platform together with The addition of the Personal Data Engine ensures the protection of personal data and consequently the peace of mind of the consumer.
Addressing the attendees, Aris Paraskevopoulos, Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics in Greece and Cyprus, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation, emphasizing that it is investing in Artificial Intelligence. As he characteristically stated, “At Samsung, we have been strategically investing in Artificial Intelligence for years. We are pioneering the development of AI technology to unlock innovative experiences, so that everyone’s everyday life becomes easier and more comfortable. This year, with Galaxy AI, communication, productivity and creation are evolving and developing into tools that are literally at our fingertips.”
