Cyprus start-up excels in the Axios Competition supported by SOFTSWISS
Press Release 11:57 - 27 February 2025

SOFTSWISS, a leading tech company with over 15 years in global business, announces that H&H Travel Cyprus, a Cyprus-based start-up, has secured third place in Axios, a Polish startup accelerator programme.
SOFTSWISS, with its commitment to fostering cross-border collaboration, supported the programme, which received wide coverage in European media.
The programme highlights the power of innovation and cross-border collaboration in fostering business growth and connecting start-ups from different regions.
An esteemed panel, including SOFTSWISS Founder Ivan Montik, judged the accelerator programme, which awarded a special prize to H&H Travel Cyprus. This recognition underscores SOFTSWISS’ commitment to nurturing early-stage businesses with high potential.

H&H Travel Cyprus is an innovative AI-powered personal travel assistant that is set to redefine tourism in Cyprus. Unlike the traditional approach of large operators that focus on mainstream attractions, H&H Travel Cyprus aims to bridge the gap by uncovering hidden gems and connecting travellers with local businesses and experiences.
This unique approach ensures that travellers explore Cyprus's authentic and lesser-known side, enriching the tourism experience, empowering small businesses and local communities, and creating a sustainable tourism ecosystem.
Montik emphasised the importance of corporate partners in supporting startups: “Corporate partners can provide grants, host meetups, offer guidance on business structuring, and connect startups with technical experts who can help avoid architectural mistakes. It’s crucial that experienced founders set aside time to mentor younger teams because only by sharing insights can we bolster the entire industry.”
He further added, “We need collaboration and common goals. With shared values, we can involve more seasoned staff in advising and aiding young teams. Industry-specific events also help. Often, larger businesses don’t have the time or resources to innovate outside their current tasks, so partnering with new ventures is a win-win.”
“Our travel market needs change,” the team behind H&H Travel Cyprus says. “We see that tourists visiting Cyprus rarely discover the island’s full scope. Cyprus is much more diverse and fascinating than people tend to realise.”

They describe the accelerator experience as transformative. “The mentorship, especially from people who have already achieved success, is motivating. When you see their willingness to help, it truly inspires you to push forward. The special prize we got from Ivan Montik is a big honour – having an entrepreneur of his calibre advising us is priceless.”
By backing initiatives like Axios, SOFTSWISS reaffirms its dedication to forward-thinking accelerator programmes that help early-stage businesses scale their ideas and reach global markets, fostering innovation across industries.
