Businessman Costas Cleanthous funds new Paediatric Oncology Clinic

The Cleanthous Foundation is the principal donor for the new Paediatric Oncology Clinic, funded exclusively by Costas Cleanthous.

The contribution was acknowledged in the President of the Republic’s state address on 29 January.

The agreement for this significant donation to the state and Cypriot society is currently in the stages of being finalised with the involved entities, including the Ministry of Health and the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY). According to President Nikos Christodoulides, the official announcement and signing of the agreement are expected to take place in February.

Costas Cleanthous’ personal donation, which will fully cover the clinic’s construction costs, exceeds the initial estimate of €8.5 million and is now expected to surpass €10 million.

A world-class Paediatric Oncology Clinic adjacent to Makarios Hospital

According to reports, the new Paediatric Oncology Clinic will be constructed adjacent to Makarios Hospital, with a structural and operational connection to the existing medical facility.

All necessary measures will be taken to protect patients’ health, and the construction will adhere to strict environmental standards. The project is set to meet international specifications, offering state-of-the-art medical care and hospitality conditions comparable to leading European clinics. It is expected to become a landmark in Cyprus’ healthcare sector.
