RIF announces main funding calls in excess of €45.3 million for 2025

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) has announced the programming of its main funding calls for 2025, with a total budget exceeding €45.3 million.

These include, for the first time in their category, funding programmes for financing production lines of innovative products, as well as funding for the development of innovative Artificial Intelligence solutions to address challenges faced by the Public Sector. Furthermore, the fast-track product/service development program provides support for the rapid development and commercialization of innovative products and services, the RIF said in a press release.

The design of the programmes has been distributed to cover the RIF’s five key priorities: Research, Knowledge Transfer and Collaboration, Innovation, Internationalisation, and Infrastructure and Capabilities, it added.

In particular, the calls planned for Q1 2025 include the programmes Innovate, Seed, Innovation Support Structures, New Product Development-Capacity Building, STEP - Establishment of Facilities and Production Lines, Fast Track Innovation, EUROSTARS European Partnership, Vision ERC, Horizon Europe - 2nd Opportunity - MSCA, AI in Public Sector, R&I Internships and Events Sponsorships.

Similarly, Q2 2025 includes calls for Research in Enterprises (ENTERPRISES), Proof of Concept, Excellence Hubs (EXCELLENCE), Post-Doc and Cybersecurity Capability Enhancement, while a call for BRIDGE2HORIZON is planned for Q4 2025.
