Total employment increases by 1.7% in Q4 2024

Total employment for the fourth quarter of 2024 is estimated at 500,606 persons, of which 448,007 are employees and 52,599 are self-employed.

According to CySTAT, compared to the corresponding quarter of 2023, total employment increased by 1.7% for the 4th quarter of 2024.

The most significant percentage increases were observed in the economic activities of Arts, Entertainment and Recreation, Accommodation and Food Service Activities  and Information and communication.

Actual hours worked for the 4th quarter of 2024 are estimated at 233,566,000, an increase of 1.7% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2023.
