The President of the Chamber, Themis Papadopoulos, reciprocated his gratitude to the Government, Political Parties, Business Associates and Members of the Chamber for their continuous and substantial support. He also briefly addressed the current state of the Shipping Industry, emphasising the importance of an ongoing and effective communication between the Government and the Chamber. Furthermore, he highlighted the need for the implementation of strategic policies that will contribute to the continuous and sustainable development of the shipping sector, thereby strengthening both the Cyprus economy and society as a whole.

Taking this opportunity, the Chamber’s Director General, Alexandros Josephides, through a short film, introduced the new brand name for all the Chamber’s charitable initiatives: “Cyprus Shipping Cares”. This new identity embodies the Shipping Industry’s commitment, through the Chamber’s activities for over 30 years, to continue “caring” and “contributing” substantially to the society of Cyprus.
