Sea Taxi: New boat taxi service offers luxury tours in Limassol

Sea Taxi, a new boat taxi service just launched by Diamantides Yachting and a first for Cyprus, offers luxury tours along the Limassol coast with in-between stop options covering the distance from Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa all the way to Lady’s Mile beach.

Stefanos Yiallourides, Charter Manager and Sea Taxi Coordinator at Diamantides Yachting, tells CBN about this new service and also gives his take on Cyprus' luxury yachting industry.

Diamantides Yachting has recently launched a new sea taxi service. Can you tell us about this service? What does it offer?

The newly founded company, called Sea Taxi, has launched a boat taxi service in Cyprus for the first time locally. The service delivers safe, comfortable and fast transportation of guest groups of up to 8 people along the Limassol coast with in-between stop options covering the distance from Parklane Hotel [Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa] to Lady’s Mile beach.

What would a typical private sea taxi tour include? And how much would it cost?

The Sea Taxi tour, delivers exactly what the name suggests; A luxury taxi tour with a qualified and experienced captain. The tariff cost is fixed at €50 per ride plus approximately €10 per nautical mile, depending on the requested distance. All customers will be informed on the total cost of their trip when reserving and before booking.

Do you expect this service to prove popular? With locals as well as tourists?

We are positive that both locals and tourists will embrace the service as it provides the peace of mind you long for in order to enjoy a day at the beach worry-free.

When was Diamantides Yachting founded and what other services does it offer?

Diamantides Yachting was founded in 2002. Since launching the first privately owned serviced boatyard on the island, it kept growing introducing different departments now including yacht maintenance and management, chartering and everything a boat and yacht owner might need for a comprehensive service covering ownership needs from A-Z.

Do you believe Cyprus has a strong luxury yachting market? Are there any challenges that need to be addressed?

Cyprus and especially Limassol in the epicentre is becoming a yachting hub, attracting yacht owners and developing an abundance of services. This, unavoidably and to our content, is pushing service and goods providers to improvement and finding ways to adopt to a high quality level of service, reflecting the needs and accommodating modern yacht ownership demands.
