“When my wife, Julia and I first embarked on our philanthropic journey, we realised the profound impact even a single act of kindness could have”. This statement became the commitment and mission of Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, which took shape in 2014 in Cyprus.
The goal, as the founder of the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation and of Exinity Fintech Group, Andrey Dashin, says, was to expand social actions in a structured and sustainable way. In our country, which he and his wife, Julia, now call “our home,” the foundation counts numerous actions, in which the couple personally participates, advocating that philanthropy is not an obligation but a way of life.

Their decision to settle in Cyprus in 2011 was based mainly on the prospect of penetrating new markets. The favourable conditions of our country for establishing and developing a business and the fact that from a strategic point of view it offers an environment that could support their long-term vision, were the reasons why it stood out from other destinations for Andrey Dashin.

From the beginning of your business activity on the island, you made sure to be part of the local community by creating close ties through philanthropy. What made you establish it?
Charity has always been an integral part of my life. When my wife, Julia and I first embarked on our philanthropic journey in Kazan, we realised the profound impact even a single act of kindness could have. This realisation became our lifelong commitment and the mission of Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, which we founded in 2014 in Cyprus, to expand our efforts in a structured and sustainable way.
How has the foundation's work evolved over the years?
For the past decade, the Foundation has been dedicated to making a tangible and lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most. Driven by a sincere desire to give back to the community that welcomed us with open arms. More than just providing aid, we have always sought to empower and uplift the community—whether by addressing urgent needs or fostering long-term positive change. Our commitment remains unwavering, and we continue to work closely with partners, volunteers, and the local community to ensure that our impact grows stronger with each passing year.
No one left behind
On what pillars is the Foundation’s development based and what are the main values it advocates?
The Foundation is built upon the pillars of social welfare, healthcare, education, and environmental stewardship. We are committed to fostering a society where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, is respected, and given equal opportunities to thrive. We support, initiatives promoting social inclusion, we aim to bridge societal gaps and ensure no one is left behind.
How do you achieve your goals?
We invest in programmes that enhance access to medical services and support health-related causes, improving healthcare outcomes for those in need. Specifically, children with illnesses and disabilities. Our foundation supports projects that provide inclusive and transformative learning experiences, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Additionally, through environmental initiatives such as local clean-ups, tree-planting events, and educational programmes, we promote sustainability and encourage a deep respect for nature and the environment. We believe in the transformative power of kindness and the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need.
How do you convey these principles to your staff, so that they become part of these actions?
At the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, we believe that leading by example is the most powerful way to instil our values within our team. A key aspect of our approach is integrating Exinity employees and their families into our initiatives, making philanthropy a natural extension of our corporate culture.
How do you act to develop and maintain this philosophy?
We encourage active participation, ensuring that it becomes a meaningful and personal experience for everyone involved. I personally take part in these activities alongside my family because I believe that true impact starts with personal commitment. When people see leadership engaging wholeheartedly, it fosters a culture where compassion, responsibility, and community support are not just principles but lived experiences. Beyond engaging employees, we see it as our responsibility to educate and inspire the younger generation, by involving children in charitable activities. When they witness positive contributions to the community, they learn that giving back is not just an obligation, but a way of life. This is how we ensure that the spirit of philanthropy continues to grow, shaping a more compassionate and socially aware future.

What would you say are the most important initiatives of the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation during the past ten years?
Every initiative has held deep significance, regardless of its scale. We believe that true impact is measured by the ability to bring meaningful change—whether to an entire community, a single family, or even one individual. Each project we have undertaken, every act of giving, no matter how small, carries the potential to transform lives, and that is what truly matters to us.
Do you maintain any collaborations with organisations that you support on a regular basis?
We actively collaborate with several organisations, providing ongoing support to ensure they can continue their work. For us, consistent assistance is crucial, particularly in areas where continuity directly impacts lives—such as therapies for children, where sustained treatment leads to significant progress. Understanding this need, we are committed to long-term partnerships that create lasting change. Beyond direct support, we also seek to empower start-ups and NGOs, fostering collaboration and combining resources to amplify our collective impact
How do you identify cases and act for a strong impact?
Many initiatives come to us directly, while others might emerge from random connections, in moments of inspiration, or when we understand where help is needed most. Every project is carefully evaluated to ensure alignment with our philosophy, our personal commitment and sensitivity to the cause.
Why in Cyprus
With years of activity in our country, how would you evaluate the standard of living and work?
I believe Cyprus offers a high standard of living and a strong working environment, making it an attractive place to both live and do business. The island’s strategic location enhances its role as a business and investment hub. It offers a unique blend of cultural richness, economic opportunity, and natural beauty.
What do you consider to be the strengths of Cyprus, in which we should invest more?
One of the key areas that deserves greater investment is its people. To ensure that local talent is nurtured and retained within the country. It is essential to create opportunities where young professionals feel valued and motivated to build their future here, contributing their skills and knowledge to the local economy. This is also why, beyond our broader philanthropic efforts, we are committed to supporting local youth, particularly those from financially struggling families, by offering them support to pursue higher education.
Every moment is a cause
Family plays a crucial role in your life, as shown by your career path. How can a busy entrepreneur achieve balance in his personal, family and professional life?
Effective time management and discipline are key to balancing family, personal well-being, and professional success. I firmly believe in the importance of prioritisation. To understand what truly matters and structure my days accordingly. By maintaining a clear schedule and a well-organised approach, I ensure that each important aspect of my life receives the attention it deserves. Being intentional with my time allows me to stay fully present in every role I take on. Ultimately, balance is not about finding more hours in the day, but about making every moment count.
