Andreas P. Hadjipanayis named new President of the Cyprus Union of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers

The Cyprus Union of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (PAEF) has announced the election of Andreas P. Hadjipanayis as the new President and Dr. Christakis Sergides as Vice President for the period 2025 - 2027, following its recent AGM.

As stated in the PAEF's announcement, Hadjipanayis (pictured above), "with a long career in the pharmaceutical industry and experience in important positions in the sector", assumes the position of President "with the aim of further strengthening cooperation between the members of PAEF and expanding the presence of Cyprus in the international pharmaceutical sector."

"His election ensures the continuation of the vision and mission of the Cyprus Union of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to create a National Strategy for the Pharmaceutical Industry, with priority given to innovation, research and development, as well as the improvement of the regulatory framework and the strengthening of Cyprus' exports," the announcement noted.

It is added that commenting on his election, Hadjipanayis expressed his gratitude for the trust of the members of the Union and pledged to work to promote Cypriot pharmaceutical companies in the domestic and international pharmaceutical markets.

"My goal is to ensure that Cyprus continues to grow as a leading destination in the pharmaceutical sector and to support the sustainable development of our industry, while promoting the health and well-being of citizens in Cyprus and in the 180+ countries where Cypriot medicine travels," he said.

Hadjipanayis, is also the Trade & Tender Manager of Remedica and , in its own announcement following his election, the company said, “As the President of PAEF, Andreas will lead a major project aimed at developing a National Strategy for the Cypriot Pharmaceutical Industry, and he will play a pivotal role in advancing the interests of pharmaceutical manufacturers in Cyprus, fostering industry growth, and ensuring the continued development of high-quality products.”

“This prestigious appointment is a testament to Andreas’s expertise, dedication, and contributions to the pharmaceutical industry.
