SOFTSWISS supports Simba Animal Aid Cyprus on International Pet Day

In honour of International Pet Day on 11 April, SOFTSWISS, a leading technology provider for the iGaming industry, made a donation to Simba Animal Aid Cyprus, reaffirming the company’s mission to foster meaningful connections not only within the workplace but also with the communities where its employees are present.

The initiative is part of a global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) campaign spanning SOFTSWISS offices in Georgia and Malta, as well as partner development centres in Poland. This year’s campaign builds on the success of previous activities, including last year’s shelter support project in Poland, where employees collected over 60 kg of pet food and supplies.

“Corporate social responsibility is not just a commitment at SOFTSWISS – it’s a reflection of what we believe in," said Valentina Bagniya, CMO at SOFTSWISS. "As a company, we see true responsibility in supporting the communities we’re part of – and that includes caring for animals, who rely entirely on our kindness and protection. We feel a strong connection to the local environment, and partnering with organisations that work tirelessly to improve animal welfare is something that resonates with our team on a very human level. It’s not about checking a box – it’s about doing something that feels real and important to all of us.”

To bring the initiative to life internally, the company launched “Tales of Tails: How Pets Shape Our Days,” inviting employees to share how their pets enrich their lives. The campaign sparked dozens of heartfelt stories, including one from Pavel Kaplunov, Head of the Content Team, who adopted a kitten after volunteering at a shelter in Poland during a SOFTSWISS initiative last year.

“I’d been thinking about adopting for years, but that visit made it real. Kiki just wouldn’t leave my arms, so the choice was clear,” Pavel shared. Seven months later, she’s a beloved member of his household, and he’s already planning to adopt a second.

“I’m grateful to SOFTSWISS for nudging me closer to my dream of adopting a kitten and for supporting a good cause. The summer we adopted Kiki the shelter was struggling with space for over 300 adult cats and another 300 kittens. Efforts like these bring awareness and, of course, help support the many many pets looking for a home,” continued Pavel.

This campaign continues SOFTSWISS’ strong ESG track record, which includes aid for flood-hit communities in Brazil and Poland, city greening projects in Warsaw, and long-term health awareness efforts.

By focusing on both global action and local partnerships, like the one with MSPCA,

SOFTSWISS aims to show how corporate initiatives can drive real change in people’s lives, and in the lives of the animals they care for.
